Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire and George Strait will headline an expanded edition of Bayou Country Superfest in 2014, festival organizers announced today in Baton Rouge. Chris Young, Lee Brice , Florida Georgia Line , Eric Church , Hunter Hayes, Big & Rich , Gloriana , Joe Nichols Easton Corbin and complete the alignment for the great country music show scheduled for 23 , 24 and 25 next year .
Organizers previously announced performance lineup Strait will headline the newly added for Friday, marking the first time the festival will take place over a period of three days.
“We let the big horse out of the barn and to announce George Strait would be the addition of a Friday night at this festival," said Quint Davis Festival Productions to begin the conference. "What they do not say is that George will be joined by Reba McEntire.”
Aldean , who has acted in Bayou Country twice recently headlined his own show at the New Orleans Arena , chaired a rock concert that beats a twangy accent. “Wear cowboy hat (Aldean), Georgia accent and pick- up trucks that populated their videos, lyrics and jokes, and what remains are straight hard rock," wrote music writer Keith Spera in its review of this show.
"Having (Breaux Bridge native Hunter Hayes) returns home to Louisiana and is starting to skyrocket your career and join these lights adds a special touch to a special year when you can only find things in Louisiana," said Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne.
“The importance of adding a day to this event is just a multiplier ... are extending hotel nights, hotel visits are expanding and more dollars spent in Louisiana.”
Productions, which are also responsible for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, recently expanded his love of country music with a music festival with similar styles in Jacksonville, Fla. The Florida Country Superfest opening is scheduled for 14 and 15 June 2014.
Tickets for Bayou Country Superfest go on sale Nov. 5.
