Marine Surprises His Brother At Bayou Country Superfest After 17 Months Away From Home

Scheduled for fall weekend of Memorial Day each year, Bayou Country Superfest is not without its many musicians, politicians and radio hosts who show their appreciation for U.S. troops, but none could overcome radio personalities the surprise Big D and Bubba countries brought Breaux Bridge native United States Marine Lance Corporal Keenan Allemand.

Big D and Bubba Allemand brought onstage with them to introduce peroformers next night, Big and Rich. It looked like the usual bidding opportunity to the public to greet the military. As Big D, Allemand Lane explained brother is also a lance corporal in the Marine Corps. He had been out for 17 months now, and was due home in two weeks.

But Big D and Bubba knew something Allemand Keenan did not know, and Allemand Lane surprised everyone on stage, dressed in full uniform and ready to give his brother a long-awaited bear hug. Everyone gathered at the stadium immediately stood to applaud the couple, and a chorus of "USA! U.S.! “Echoed throughout the stadium.

Big D offered recently returned to the microphone - Lance Corporal Allemand .

"God bless America, and Semper Fidelis" yelled at Tiger Stadium.
